Pi is an irrational real number, approximately 3,14159...... (recurring decimal).
No matter what size circle you draw, if you divide the circumference (perimeter) of the circle, by its diameter (twice its radius) the answer will always be pi.
Pi may also be represented by several infinite power series which converge to it, for example the Gregory series, etc. (ie, an infinite sequence of terms whose sum is pi.)
