Glacial erratics are rocks transported by glacial movement and deposited in a new location when the glacier melts.

Explanation:

As glaciers move they rip and tear at the bedrock below them and break it up. These pieces can then be carried by the glacier and eventually be deposited when the glacier melts. Erratics often can be transported for tens to hundreds of miles.
