The lipid is a big group of molecules containing carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Some of them are the fats and oils which have the triglyceride as a building unit.
The triglyceride is made of a glycerol molecule connected to three fatty acids.
If one of these fatty acids is substituted by a phosphate group, then the whole molecule becomes a phospholipid.
