Excess lipids are stored in the body in the adipose tissue under the skin and around the soft organs. This gives extra weight which means extra load on the heart. In addition, the low density cholesterol may deposit in the lining of arteries which hardens them on the long run. This leads to hypertension and atherosclerosis which eventually leads to heart diseases.
