How do organs relate to cells and tissues?

The smallest unit of life is a cell.
A collection of similar cells grouped together for a specific function is called a tissue.
(Example erythrocytes, leucocytes, thrombocytes are all cells which together with water and plasma from blood tissue)
A group of tissues grouped together for a particular function is called an organ.
(for example, the skin is an organ (part of the integumentary system) and consists of epithelial tissue, muscular tissue (arector muscles), nervous tissue and blood tissue.
We may take this even a step further and say that many organs work together to form a system. For example, the digestive system consists of many organs example the stomach, intestines, liver, etc as well as some glands, whereas some organs can also form part of more than 1 system for example the brain forms part of the nervous system, as well as the endocrine system with hormone secretion etc
