Explanation:
There are several types of enteroendocrine cells in small intestine. "I" cell is one of them. These cells mainly reside in duodenum and jejunam and in response to digestive products of fat, fatty acids and monoglycerides in the intestine they release Cholecystokinin.
This hormone stimulate the pancreas to release digestive juices and contract gallbladder to release bile.
Another intestinal hormone Secretin also stimulate pancreatic secretion. Secretin is released from "S" cells of intestinal mucosa.
