Doesn't really destroy the Earth but does lead to reduced air quality and related health problems and coal plants release huge amounts of CO2 which are a major contributor to global warming.

Explanation:

Burning coal release fine particles that can impact the health of lungs. Mercury is also emitted that can affect the development of fetal brains. SO2 and NOx are also release from burning coal and these chemicals cause acid rain. CO2 is a powerful greenhouse gas that makes global warming worse.

Burning coal produce carbon di oxide which is a green house gas.

Explanation:

Coal contains , lot of ash in some case upto 40%..It is difficult to dispose and cause atmospheric pollution
Coal mining also creates environmental problems..
some coal contains sulfur which when burned produce sulfur di oxide which cause acid rain.
