I found #x=1/2#

Explanation:

You need to find the value of #x# that makes the left side equal to the right one.
We try solating #x# on one side (left, for example) transferring all the numbers to the right:
#x=5/6color(red)(-1/3)#
notice the change of sign of #1/3# in passing to the right!
We rearrange the right side:
#x=(5-2)/6#
we fnd a common denominator (#6#) and rearrange the numerators to allow the subtraction:
Finally:
#x=3/6=1/2#

You can now test this value putting it into the original equation to see if the left is equal to the right side!
