Explanation:

  • 25mL #NaOH# Solution is first taken in a clean 100 mL conical
    flask measuring the acid with the help of a 25 mL pipette

  • 1 to 2 drops of phenolphthalein indicator is then added to it. The mixture will become reddish pink in color

  • A burette of 50 mL capacity is filled with the HCl solution of nearly same strength as NaOH solution and zero level is properly adjusted.

  • The burette is erected vertically with the help of stand and clamp at preferable height adjusting its outlet at the opening of the conical flask containing the NaOH solution added with indicator.

  • Adjusting the stopper of the burette acid solution is added
    dropwise with constant stirring with whirling motion of the conical flask until the solution becomes just colorless. This indicates that neutralization is done
