In the menstrual cycle which is usually of 28 to 29 days , ovulation ( Release of egg from graffian follicle ) occurs on 14th day under the influence of LH hormone.
Before ovulation , the level of LH suddenly rises called LH Surge and this stimulates the graffian folllicle to get ruptured and release the ovum or egg.
