The Small and Large intestine take up most of the abdominal cavity low the stomach and liver and down into the pelvic cavity.
Explanation:
Your Digestive System is basically a 30 foot tube running from the Mouth to the anus.
Approximately 21 feet of this is composed of the Small Intestine (16 feet) and Large Intestine or Colon (5 feet).
The Stomach and Liver sit directly below the base of the ribcage on the left and right side, respectively, of the abdominal cavity.
The Small and Large Intestine are coiled up in the remainder of the abdominal cavity below the stomach and into the pelvic cavity.
