Explanation:

The Ideal Gas Law made several assumptions about gas behavior, and makes a reasonable approximation and model of the behavior of gas at moderate temperatures, and lowish pressures.

Dalton's Law of partial pressures was an experimental finding, which led to the development of the Ideal Gas Law. The observation that #n, "the number of moles"# #prop# #P# given constant temperature and volume was a fairly early experimental finding.
