Two main importances is DNA replication and protein synthesis.

when we talk about nucleic acid we mean two major things,
DNA,RNA

DNA is absolutely important as it carries the our genes which is responsible for our qualities,shape and our differentiation
RNA is important as it the main factor for synthesizing proteins in our body like hormones,our muscle ,etc....
