Explanation:
First the disclaimer - if you suspect that you have this condition, please make sure to raise your concerns with your doctor (if you have an ob/gyn) or to a medical professional at your closest hospital if you don't. This is a very serious condition that requires advanced medical techniques to deal with - it's dangerous to both mom and baby (please see the link here to the Mayo Clinic: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/placenta-accreta/basics/definition/con-20035437)
During the nine months a baby develops inside a woman's body, the placenta develops as an organ to provide nutrients to the baby. It grows inside the uterus and detaches from the uterus during childbirth - it's what the umbilical cord is attached to.
Placenta accreta is what happens when the placenta attaches too deeply into the uterus and so instead of the placenta sloughing off, it remains either partially or entirely attached.
I've put the link below for the google search of ultrasound images of the condition. https://www.google.com/search?q=placenta+accreta&espv=2&biw=1416&bih=691&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjrtazE-LXPAhUEG5QKHYANAiEQ_AUIBigB#tbm=isch&q=placenta+accreta+ultrasound
