I always enjoyed doing this reaction as it is a beautiful reaction to do. You add the acid, and you get the lovely blue colour of the hexa-aqua ion, `[Cu(OH_2)_6]^(2+)` as it sulfate salt. The reaction above is simply an acid base reaction.
