#51x^4+68x^3-85x#

Explanation:

Do this in exactly the same way as a monomial x binomial.
Use the distributive law across the bracket.

#17x(3x^3 +4x^2 -5)#

=#51x^4+68x^3-85x#

The same principle and process applies, no matter how many terms there are in a bracket.

A bracket with 12 terms in it is not more difficult to multiply into than a bracket with 2 terms! One just takes longer than the other!
