Using the Chain Rule, think of your function #y# as:

#y=f(g(x))#

Where:

#g(x)=5-3x#

#f(x)=sqrt(g(x))#

Chain rule allows us to take the derivative considering we perform it in the correct order. (Outside to inside)

So:

#y'=1/2(5-3x)^(-1/2)*(-3)#

#y'=-3/(2sqrt(5-3x))#
