Sun is a star.In its core nuclear fusion produce Gama rays..When it reaches earth it is mostly infra red waves and visible light..Both are radiation in the form of electro,magnetic spectrum This energy is about 1.388 watts per square meter.
we can collect it and use it for our own use.Photo voltaic cells will change this into electric energy and we can also use it..THis is solar energy.
