Rearrange to get the terms in t on one side, and the numbers on the other. Make sure you apply the rule of "change the side = change the sign".

#15t - 5 = -35#

#15t = -35 + 5#

#15t = -30#

#t = -30 / 15 = -2#

but -5+5=0 giving

#15t=-30#

Divide both sides by 15

#15/15 t=-30/15#
