How do you graph #3x-6y=12# using the intercepts?

I tried this:

We find the coordinates of the two intercepts by seting:

#x=0# in our equation.
We then get: #3*0-6y=12#
and: #y=-12/6=-2#

#y=0# in our equation.
We then get: #3x-6*0=12#
and: #x=12/3=4#

So our intercepts have coordinates:
#(0,-2)#
#(4,0)#

These two points are enough to plot the straight line described by our equation:
