It is often interpreted with the assumption that Darwinian Evolution is an absolute truth.
Explanation:
The age of a fossil bearing strata is interpreted mainly by the type of fossils found in the strata. The assumption is that the simpler the fossils the older the fossils. If a complex fossil is found underneath a strata with simpler fossils it is still determined to be younger than the strata above it. These interpretations of the fossil record based on Darwinian evolutionary assumptions of descent with modification show bias
