Explanation:

it is apparent that as product of #(x-4)# and #3x+2)# is #0#, we have

either #x-4=0# i.e. #x=4#

or #3x+2=0# i.e. #3x=-2# or #x=-2/3#

Hence solution is #x=0# or #x=-2/3#
