The worst dangerous natural disaster, the Central China Floods, occurred in summer 1931. The Yangtze River overflowed and caused a series of floods in China nearly 85 years ago. As a result of this flooding, an estimated 3.7 million people died from drowning, disease and starvation, some due to aftermath events.
