Rearrange equation, sub in values of #x#, calc values of #y#, make a results table, plot points.

Explanation:

  1. rearrange the equation to give a more familiar form (like #y = mx+c#)
    move #2x# over gives,
    #-y = -2x + 4#
    multiply by #-1# gives,
    #y = 2x - 4#
  2. sub in values of #x#, calc values of #y#
    when #x = 0, y = -4#
    when #x = 1, y = -2#
    when #x = 2, y = 0#
    when #x = 3, y = +2#
  3. make a results table
    already done, see above
  4. plot these points (in red) on a standard x-y axes (in black) . gives a straight line (in blue).
