We know that the angle at C is 30 degrees, so half of the base must be 122 which is 6 as sin(π6)=12.
Finding a is a matter of Pythagorean,

as such a2+62=122

or a2=14436=108 and

a=108=6×6×3=63.

Now, we have the height and half of the base, which means the area of 16th of the hexagon will be 12bh where b=12 and h=63.

The area of the hexagon therefore will be 6×12bh.

=6×12×12×63=2163 cm2
