Explanation:
Typically, we would use decantation to separate a SOLID precipitate from a liquid; for instance a fine port from the crust that it throws on the bottom of the bottle. Of course we could do this in the chemistry lab as well, and achieve a preliminary separation of a liquid from a solid deposit.
