How does nitric acid behave in a titration?

This question is a bit of a #"non sequitir"#........

Explanation:

Certainly, I could use dilute nitric acid in a titration, and this reacts in the regular way with a strong base.......

#HNO_3(aq) + NaOH(aq) rarr NaNO_3(aq) + H_2O(l)#

At neutrality, #pH# would be very close to #7#.

If I am barking up the wrong tree, would you please refine the question?
