In a roller coaster, potential and kinetic energies are continuously exchanged
Explanation:
When the train starts, it starts from a high point thus having a large amount of potential energy.When it falls some part of this potential energy is converted to kinetic energy.It then climbs up again thus converting the kinetic energy back to potential energy
And note that we are not considering friction here.Proving this fact is a little difficult.We have to calculate the mass of the train, the coefficient of static and kinetic friction, height of the roller coaster etc which is not practically feasible.
