Now this is a sexadentate chelating ligand, that is widely used in complexometric titration. Typically, when we perform these titrations, the solution is buffered to fairly high #pH#, and the ligand is delivered as its calcium salt......which #pH# gives a better chelating ability inasmuch as there are MORE carboxylate donors.
