Temperature and concentration.

Explanation:

For a given interface, the only driving forces for diffusion are temperature, which doesn't change the equilibrium, but will affect the rate, and concentration, which is the primary driving force.

It is the difference in concentration of a compound in solution on different sides of an interface (cell wall in this case) that propels the compound across the interface from the area of higher concentration to the one with lower concentration.
