When two waves meet in the same medium and the result is no wave, what happened to the two waves?

In the case of superposition of waves, there is no destruction of energy. There is merely a redistribution of it.

When two waves superpose on each other in such a way that the resultant is no wave, the energy carried by the waves is redistributed in the medium. As such there is no violation of energy conservation principle.
