Why can't we stop methane from leaking?
Here is an article I just found on methane leak, I do not really understand why can't we stop it, and if the limits are 'scientifique' or 'technique'... If someone could explain me more precisely the reason, and what can be try to solve it?

methane is a very volatile gas. it is product from the ruminant digestion (600 L/day from a cow), from the anaerobic fermentation in swamps, in the fields of rice, and from this sources it is difficult to stop. When methane comes from underground deposits it can be regulated from apposite system of piping with shutter valves and security valves but as it is stated in the article, the piping is too old and lacks of maintenace. It is a technologic mistake that we are paying in a very expensive way
