Temperature and pressure.

As you go down under the earth's surface the temp increase mainly because of the increasing pressure caused by overlaying mass of rocks.
As you know temp is inversely proportional to density (which means when temp increase the density decrease) while pressure is directly
proportional to density (when pressure increase density increase)
