Can I ask questions about a subject that haven't been launched? I would like to ask questions about accounting here but there's not enough founder yet and I can't choose "Accounting" as the subject of the question. It's bad to catagorize question wrongly.

A couple of thoughts below:

Explanation:

I hear you and sympathize with you regarding having questions in topics that aren't launched. However, this need not preclude asking them.

While there isn't currently a perfect solution, I think it's best to look at your question and categorize it as best as you can. If your question is talking about debits and credits and what to put where, I might put that in pre-algebra (since we aren't manipulating equations).

Another thing you can do is when you post an accounting question, tag me in the comments (you can do that by pasting in @parzival-s) - it's been ages since I've done accounting, but I'll be notified by the tag and I'll give your question a look.

Bottom line - it may be bad to categorize a question wrongly (and with that comment, may I say that The Accounting Force is Strong with this One), but it's worse to not ask the question. (Think of it as categorizing as account code 9999 - Miscellaneous)
