Explanation:

The only value that you cannot substitute into #y=2/x^2# is #x=0#, so the domain is all reals except 0. Domain: #x in RR, x ne 0#.

The range of #y=2/x^2# is #y>0#. Since we're squaring #x# we will only get positive values and it's not possible to get 0 when the numerator is a constant 2.
