According to theory of general relativity,space fabric is present every where even in empty space.
Light travels through space fabric,space fabric is bent by mass, energy.
So,when that fabric bends the light travelling through it also bends.

Only very huge masses like stars can bend space fabric so well due to their mass.Black holes can attract light into them.
