Beta-minus decay

Explanation:

This is called beta decay, a process with atoms can use to become more stable. It is when one proton or neutron converts into one another, or vice versa. There are two types of beta decay, plus and minus.

In a plus beta decay reaction, a proton converts into a neutron, and also emits a positron (positively-charge electron), and a neutrino.

In a minus beta decay reaction, a neutron turns into a proton, and emits an electron and an anti-neutrino in the process as well.

In this case, it will be a beta-minus decay, since it gains a proton but loses a neutron.
