Through a process called 'phagocytosis'
Explanation:
- In the process of phogocytosis, the phagocytes approches the pathogen(bacteria) and surrounds it by using its pseudopodium.
- The phagocyte then engulfs the pathogen and ingest it by forming a phagocytic vacuole called phagosome.
- Lysosome combines with the phagosome and releases enzyme into the phagosome and to digest the pathogen.
- The pathogen is destroyed.
