Radio galaxies are types of galaxies which emit more amount of
light at radio wavelengths than at the visible wavelengths.

Explanation:

These galaxies are also called as radio-luminous or radio-loud galaxies and have their close relatives as quasars and blazars.

They have a very high luminosity at radio wavelengths ranging from 10 MHz and 100 GHz. This radio emission is due to the synchroton process which happens inside them.

Most common structure of these galaxies are called as lobes which are double often symmetrical structures whereas another variety called as plumus are more elongated.

Radio galaxies also have a number of applications:-
1.Finding the distant galaxies.
2. Determining the standard rules to know the cosmological parameters.
3. Effect on the environment.
