Given -

#y=x^2+4x-5#

To find the x-intercept, put # y = 0#

Then

#x^2+4x-5=0#

#x^2-x+5x-5=0#

#x(x-1)+5(x-1)=0#

#(x-1)(x+5)=0#

#x-1=0#

#x=1#

x- intercept #(1, 0)#

#x+5=0#

#x=-5#
x-intercept #(-5, 0)#
