Move all the terms with x to one side, and move the integers to the other side.

Explanation:

9-9x-5-3x=7

9-5-7=9x+3x

-3 = 12x

x = -1/4

I think the answer's x=3.5 or x=7/2

Explanation:

in the equation you have to inverse the like terms i.e:
-5 to 7 which is 7+5 after the sign has changed to -5,secondly the other like term is 9 which is -9 it is inversed and changed to-9 to 12 is 12+9 answer is: 6x=2/6 after being divided by six which is the denominator. x=3.5
