Never

Explanation:

The most recent empirical evidence is that the expansion of the universe will never end.

In 1997 three separate studies of supernovas discovered that the rate of the expansion of the universe is increasing. As the rate of expansion is increasing instead of slowing down as predicted by the oscillating universe theories it can be conclude that the expansion of the universe will go on until there is nothing useable left.

The implications of the discovery of the increasing rate of the universe are
The universe will never stop expanding.
The universe will come to an end a heat death where there is no matter or useable energy
The universe of matter and energy is not eternal nor self existent.
The universe is an open system something exists besides the observable universe of matter and energy.

As the rate of expansion of the universe is increasing the universe will never stop expanding. The universe will not collapse into another big bang recycling the material universe.
