One whole number is three thirds, so two whole numbers would be six thirds. Therefore two whole numbers plus a third would be seven thirds in total.
To change a mixed number to an improper fraction:
Multiply the whole number by the denominator and add the numerator. This answer goes as the numerator above the original denominator.
