arcsin(3x-pi)=frac(1)(2)

Take the sin of both sides.

sin(arcsin(3x-pi))=sin(frac(1)(2))

Use the rule sin(arcsin(a))=a (keep in mind that arcsin(a) is only defined if -1leale1).

3x-pi=sin(frac(1)(2))

Add pi to both sides.

3x=sin(frac(1)(2))+pi

Divide both sides by 3.

x=frac(1)(3)sin(frac(1)(2))+frac(1)(3)pi
