Our biological fluids are EXQUISITELY buffered so as to maintain the #pH# of our circulatory and digestive fluids in a specific range, such that the associated process respond to a given acidity. And clearly, homeostasis is assisted by buffering, by maintaining a #pH# around a specific value.
