  • Example of ecosystem with low biodiversity is definitely a desert. Then there are cold deserts in Antarctica and Gobi basin of central Asia, where biodiversity is minimum.
  • Example of ecosystem with high biodiversity is tropical rain forest as seen in Amazon basin of south America. Such forests are also thriving in parts of central Africa and also in islands of Indonesia.
  • In marine environment, coral reefs are example of high biodiversity aquatic ecosystems.
