Explanation:

When water and alkali metals react, a metal hydroxide and hydrogen gas is formed. As you go down the alkali metals group, the rate at which the hydrogen gas attains combustion, increases.

Lithium has the weakest reaction with water (a small fire on the surface of the water), while francium has the strongest* (nuclear bomb-like explosion).
