${a}_{c} = {v}^{2} / r$
where v = velocity and r = radius of circular path .

If radius changes from ${r}_{1} \to {r}_{2} \text{ where } {r}_{2} > {r}_{1}$

then change in centripetal acceleration

$\Delta {a}_{c} = {v}^{2} \left(\frac{1}{r} _ {1}^{2} - \frac{1}{r} _ {2}^{2}\right) = {150}^{2} \left(\frac{1}{500} - \frac{1}{1000}\right) = 22.5 m {s}^{-} 2$
