Ammonium chloride ,Camphor and Iodine sublimate on heating but salt does not. Because those substances which undergo sublimation, transform directly to gaseous state from solid state on heating and again transform directly to sold state on cooling under normal atmospheric pressure or below.
So salt (other than ammonium chloride) cannot be separated by sublimation when it is mixed with sand.
