The Constitution replaced the Articles of Confederation.

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation gave way too much power to the state and very little power to the federal government. Revolts took place, such as Bacon's Rebellion, and it took about a year to break it up. However, with the Constitution, it would only take about a week or a few weeks because the government could end it instead of the state trying to end it (which didn't work).

Hope this helps!
